In contrast to all the back-biting in today’s electoral landscape, we thought it would be good to celebrate some of our history with quotes that can and should be embraced by left, right and center alike. Remember that these now venerated hero’s of American history also had their detractors in their day and that only over time can history truly judge.

Although there is some controversy over whether of not Lincoln was the true originator of the quote, there is ample evidence that he had on several occasions been quoted as stating, “You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time”.
